وناصعِ ماءٍ كان كالبدر مائلاً

وناصعِ ماءٍ كان كالبدر مائلاً

ولثَّمه ظلٌّ فلاحَ هلاله

ولثَّمه ظلٌّ فلاحَ هلاله

And gleaming water was tilted like the full moon;

Sparkling with water that was like a full moon tilting,

And a shadow kissed it, so its crescent appeared.

And shading it a shadow so its crescent gleamed
