بَاكِر صَبوحَك مِن سُلافِ القَهوةِ

بَاكِر صَبوحَك مِن سُلافِ القَهوةِ

وامزج بسمعك صِرْفَها بالنغمةِ

Take your morning draught early, from the choicest wine.

The dawn of your morning from the remnants of coffee

And through your hearing, blend its unmixed wine with melody.

And mix in your hearing its pouring with melody

وانظر إلى النارنج في الطبق الذي

وانظر إلى النارنج في الطبق الذي

أبدى تدانيَ وجنةٍ من وجنةِ

أبدى تدانيَ وجنةٍ من وجنةِ

And look at the bitter oranges in the dish, which

And look at the orange in the plate which

Has shown one cheek close beside another.

Showed intimacy and a paradise of paradise

ومن العجائب أن تضرّم بيننا

ومن العجائب أن تضرّم بيننا

جمراتُ نار تُجْتَنَى من جنةِ

جمراتُ نار تُجْتَنَى من جنةِ

And wondrous it is that in our midst there blaze

And of the wonders that ignite between us

Embers of fire, plucked from a garden.
