نَظَرتُI gazed إلِىat حُسْنِbeauty الرِّياضِthe gardens وغَيمُهاand their cloud

I gazed at the beauty of the gardens, while their cloud’s
I looked at the beauty of the gardens and their clouds
Tears flowed from them into the eyes of the blossoms.
His tears flowed from them into the eyes of flowers
فَلَمْso did not تَرَsee عَينيmy eye بَينهاamong them كَشَقائِقٍlike anemones
تُبَلبِلُهاtoss them about الأَرواحُthe winds فيamong القَضَبِthe stems الخَضرِgreen
My eye saw nothing among them like anemones,
My eyes did not see corn poppies among them
Tossed by the winds among the green stems,
Swayed by the breeze in the green reeds
كَماjust as مَشَطَتْcombed غِيدُgraceful women القِيانِthe singing girls شُعورَهاtheir hair
وَقامَتْand rose لِرَقصٍto dance فيin غَلائِلِهاtheir thin robes الحُمْرِred
Like graceful singing girls who combed their hair
As the rain combed its hair
And rose to dance in their thin red robes.
And rose to dance in its red braids
