مُحْمرّةِ النّوّارِ خضراءِ

Drink beside a water-lily pond,

Green, with crimson blossoms,

كأنما أزهارُهَا أخرجتْ

كأنما أزهارُهَا أخرجتْ

ألسنةَ النارِ من الماءِ

ألسنةَ النارِ من الماءِ

As though its flowers had drawn

Tongues of fire from the water.
