O you whose eye burns with grief, who have never ceased

to live among people without sense.

If you do not weigh yourself anew,

with fear between word and deed,

the crown of your head will suffer at my hands what

the drum suffers on the feast day.

Do not act insolently today toward one who has

    knowledge of reason and folly:

a young man who, even if his sandal makes him slip,

is the greatest sandal-slapper among God's creatures.
