بي علةٌ تقطع أسبابها

من راحة الصحة أسبابي

I have an ailment whose causes sever

I have an illness that severs its causes

my ties to the ease of good health.

From the comfort of health, my causes

أخفيت ما بي اليوم منها فما

أخفيت ما بي اليوم منها فما

تطلع الناس على ما بي

تطلع الناس على ما بي

Today I concealed the suffering it brings me, so

I have hidden today what it has done to me, so

people have not learned what ails me.

People do not know what is with me

وليس يشفيني سوى نهشةٍ

وليس يشفيني سوى نهشةٍ

من قطعةٍ من كبد بواب

من قطعةٍ من كبد بواب

And nothing cures me but a bite

And nothing can cure me but a bite
