بالذي أوْدَعَني

Yusuf fashioned me with wondrous artistry

Yusuf fashioned me wondrously

through what he instilled in me,

with what he placed within me;

فكأنّي قمَرٌ

فكأنّي قمَرٌ

فكْرُهُ أطْلَعني

فكْرُهُ أطْلَعني

so that I seem to be a moon

so I am like a moon—

his thought has caused to rise.
