هيَ الأشياءُ مُبْدِعُها

هيَ الأشياءُ مُبْدِعُها

أبو الحجّاجِ موْلانا

These are the things whose creator

is Abu al-Hajjaj, our lord.

تَزيدُ حُلَى مَكارِمِهِ

تَزيدُ حُلَى مَكارِمِهِ

لحُسْنِ الوصْفِ إحْسانا

لحُسْنِ الوصْفِ إحْسانا

The adornments of his noble deeds add

excellence to the beauty of description.

صنائِعُ ربُّنا فيها

صنائِعُ ربُّنا فيها

جَميلَ الصُّنْعِ أوْلانا

جَميلَ الصُّنْعِ أوْلانا

Works in which our lord

has bestowed fine craftsmanship upon us.

كتاب الحُسْنِ راقَ وقدْ

كتاب الحُسْنِ راقَ وقدْ

جُعِلتُ عليْهِ عُنْوانا

جُعِلتُ عليْهِ عُنْوانا

The book of beauty delights, and indeed

I have been set upon it as a title.

وصِرْتُ لجِسْمِهِ روحاً

وصِرْتُ لجِسْمِهِ روحاً

وفي عيْنَيْهِ إنسانا

وفي عيْنَيْهِ إنسانا

And I have become a soul for its body,

and a pupil in its two eyes.

يَروقُ التِّبْرُ في أفُقي

يَروقُ التِّبْرُ في أفُقي

وأطْلِعُ منْهُ شُهبانا

وأطْلِعُ منْهُ شُهبانا

Raw gold is resplendent on my horizon,

and from it I bring forth shooting stars.
