    O my lord, whose hands have surpassed

    the horizon's clouds in mighty benefactions,

    the mounts of the servant of your bounty have set out

    toward their destination, yet still remain in place.

    And but for the custom of marriage, there would have been

    straight paths for them in the morning,

    although she before whom they cast

    their reins is refined and beautiful.

    Yet my service is my honor, and being remembered

    by my lord is a great gift.

    And were I offered, in place of gazing upon him,

    the glory of the world, I would not accept its bliss.

    فكَمْ لعُلاكَ من نعَمٍ عميمَهْ

    So the servant's wish is the favor of permission;

    for how many all-embracing blessings belong to your eminence!

    أقيمُ وظائِفَ الخِدَمِ الكَريمَهْ

    Through it I am placed at the highest station;

    I perform the duties of noble service.
