أذَكّرُ مَولانا ولمْ ينْسَ عبْدَهُ

أذَكّرُ مَولانا ولمْ ينْسَ عبْدَهُ

على مطْلبٍ يُحْظي بما شِئْتُ عندَهُ

على مطْلبٍ يُحْظي بما شِئْتُ عندَهُ

I remind our lord, though he has not forgotten his servant,

I remind my Master, though His servant did not forget,

of a request that would win me what I wished for from him.

Of a request to grant what I wished from Him,

وأرغَبُ من عُلياهُ تتْميمَ نعْمَةٍ

وأرغَبُ من عُلياهُ تتْميمَ نعْمَةٍ

تُنيلُ مُنَى الرّاجي وتسْعِفُ قصْدَهُ

تُنيلُ مُنَى الرّاجي وتسْعِفُ قصْدَهُ

And I ask of His Highness the completion of a blessing

And I hope for the completion of His blessing

that grants the hopeful one's wishes and fulfills his aim:

That would grant the seeker's wish and aid his aim,

بأن يوقفَ المملوكَ يومَ سَلامِهِ

بأن يوقفَ المملوكَ يومَ سَلامِهِ

بقبّتهِ في شمْلِ منْ أمَّ رِفْدَهُ

بقبّتهِ في شمْلِ منْ أمَّ رِفْدَهُ

that he have his bondservant stand on the day of his greeting,

That He may present the slave on the day of his greeting

in his pavilion, among those who seek his bounty,

At His Noble Gate, embracing those who sustained him,

ليَبْقَى وإن عزّ اللِقاءُ بنَظْرَةٍ

ليَبْقَى وإن عزّ اللِقاءُ بنَظْرَةٍ

يجَدِّدُ بالذّاتِ الكَريمةِ عهْدَهُ

يجَدِّدُ بالذّاتِ الكَريمةِ عهْدَهُ

so that, even if meeting is difficult, he may still, with a glance,

So he may remain, though meeting is difficult with a glance,

renew his bond with that noble person.

Renewing through the Generous Essence his covenant.
