You contemplated parting, though death lies within it,

I thought of parting, though it causes death,

as though you were stirring up your own doom.

As if you rouse your own demise,

So do not venture upon a matter too mighty

So do not dare a grave affair,

for you, for the daring sometimes perish.

Lest the daring meet their doom.
