فخل عنك البكاء في أثره

O heart, the one you are enamored of has betrayed you.

O heart that was betrayed by the one I entrusted

So put aside weeping in his wake.

Stop your crying over him

شغلك بالفكر في تغيره

شغلك بالفكر في تغيره

أعظم مما لقيت من غيره

أعظم مما لقيت من غيره

Your preoccupation with thoughts of his change

Occupy yourself thinking of his change

Is greater than what you have suffered from others.

Greater than what you encountered from another

فارحل فمن لا يحل مورده

فارحل فمن لا يحل مورده

يفض به صفوه إلى كدره

يفض به صفوه إلى كدره

So depart: for one whose watering place is forbidden,

Move on, for he who does not settle in his place

Its clear water will carry him into its murk.

His purity turns to his filth

وارجع إلى اللَه في الأمور فلن

وارجع إلى اللَه في الأمور فلن

تقدر أن تستجير من قدره

تقدر أن تستجير من قدره

And turn back to God in your affairs, for you will not

And return to God in matters, for you cannot

Be able to seek refuge from His decree.

Seek refuge from His decree
