لقد باعدت عنك أخاً شقيقاً

عليك فلا يغرك حسن صبري

I have distanced a brother, a close one, from you

So do not be deceived by the beauty of my patience

فلو جمع الآنام لكنت فرداً

أحبهم الي بكل سعر

If people were to gather today, you would be the only one I love

With all my being

فلا تحسب رعاك اللَه أني

غدرت ولا هممت لكم يغدر

So do not think, may God shepherd you, that I

Have betrayed or plotted any betrayal against you

فواللَه العظيم لو أن قلبي

أحب سواك لم أسكنه صدري

By God Almighty, if my heart loved anyone but you

I would not allow it in my chest

وأعظم ما ألاقي منك أني

أدوم على الوفاء ولست تدري

And the greatest suffering I find from you is that

I persist in loyalty, and you are not aware
