لِتَهْنَئْ سلامتُكَ المسلمينا

لِتَهْنَئْ سلامتُكَ المسلمينا

وتَفْدِكَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَجمعينا

وتَفْدِكَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَجمعينا

May your well-being bring joy to the Muslims,

May your safety gladden the Muslims,

and may their souls, every one, be your ransom.

And may their souls, one and all, be your ransom.

فقد صَدَّقَ اللهُ مَا يرغبونا

فقد صَدَّقَ اللهُ مَا يرغبونا

وَقَدْ حقَّقَ الله مَا يأْمَلُونا

وَقَدْ حقَّقَ الله مَا يأْمَلُونا

For God has fulfilled what they desire,

For God has fulfilled what they desire,

and God has brought to pass what they hope for.

And God has fulfilled what they hope for.

غَزَوْتَ فأُعطِيت نَصْراً عزيزاً

غَزَوْتَ فأُعطِيت نَصْراً عزيزاً

وصُلْتَ فَوُفِّيتَ فتحاً مُبينا

وصُلْتَ فَوُفِّيتَ فتحاً مُبينا

You went forth to war and were granted a mighty victory;

You campaigned and were granted a mighty victory,

you assailed, and a manifest conquest was granted you in full.

And you charged and were granted a manifest conquest in full.

بسيفٍ ضربتَ بِهِ فِي الإِلَهِ

بسيفٍ ضربتَ بِهِ فِي الإِلَهِ

فأَعْزَزْتَ ملكاً ودُنيا ودِينا

فأَعْزَزْتَ ملكاً ودُنيا ودِينا

With a sword you struck in the cause of God,

With a sword, you struck in the cause of God,

strengthening dominion, this world, and the Faith.

Thus strengthening sovereignty, worldly life, and faith.

وبَلْدَةِ شِرْكٍ تَيَمَّمْتَها

وبَلْدَةِ شِرْكٍ تَيَمَّمْتَها

فغادَرْتَها آيَةَ السَّائِلِينا

فغادَرْتَها آيَةَ السَّائِلِينا

Many a city of idolatry you set your course for,

And a town of polytheism you sought out,

then left it as a sign for those who inquire.

Then left it a sign for those who ask.

ودائِعُ مجدٍ تَقَلَّدْتَها

ودائِعُ مجدٍ تَقَلَّدْتَها

فكُنتَ عليها القوِيَّ الأَمينا

فكُنتَ عليها القوِيَّ الأَمينا

The trusts of glory you took upon yourself,

Glory's trusts you took upon yourself,

and over them proved strong and trustworthy.

And you were their strong and trustworthy guardian.

نهضتَ فأَرْضَيْتَ مِنَّا النفوسَ

نهضتَ فأَرْضَيْتَ مِنَّا النفوسَ

وأُبْتَ فأَقْرَرْتَ مِنَّا العُيُونا

وأُبْتَ فأَقْرَرْتَ مِنَّا العُيُونا

You rose to action, satisfying the souls within us,

You rose and satisfied our souls,

and returned, cooling our eyes.

And you returned and gladdened our eyes.

فما خَيَّبَ اللهُ فيكَ الرجاءَ

فما خَيَّبَ اللهُ فيكَ الرجاءَ

وَلا كذَّبَ الله فيك الظُّنونا

وَلا كذَّبَ الله فيك الظُّنونا

Thus God disappointed no hope placed in you,

So God did not disappoint the hope placed in you,

nor did God belie any expectation of you.

Nor did God belie expectations of you.

فأُبقِيتَ حِصناً منيعاً رفيعاً

فأُبقِيتَ حِصناً منيعاً رفيعاً

ودُمْتَ كريماً عزيزاً مَكينا

ودُمْتَ كريماً عزيزاً مَكينا

May you then be preserved, an impregnable, lofty fortress,

So may you be preserved as an impregnable, lofty fortress,

and long remain noble, mighty, firmly established.

And may you remain noble, mighty, and firmly established.
