هِلالٌ بنورِ السَّعْدِ والحَقِّ مُقْمِرُ

هِلالٌ بنورِ السَّعْدِ والحَقِّ مُقْمِرُ

أَهلَّ عَلَى الإِسلامِ أَللهُ أَكْبَرُ

أَهلَّ عَلَى الإِسلامِ أَللهُ أَكْبَرُ

A crescent, radiant with the light of good fortune and truth,

A crescent moon bright with the light of fortune and truth,

Has risen over Islam—God is greatest!

Illuminating the glory of Islam - God is Greatest!

أَغَرُّ نَما فِي الغُرِّ من آلِ هاشِمٍ

أَغَرُّ نَما فِي الغُرِّ من آلِ هاشِمٍ

ووافى بِهِ يومٌ أَغَرُّ مُشَهَّرُ

ووافى بِهِ يومٌ أَغَرُّ مُشَهَّرُ

Radiant, he grew among the illustrious of Hashim’s house,

The most radiant star in the heavens is from the House of Hashim,

And a radiant, celebrated day arrived with him.

Fulfilling the promise of an even more radiant day.

بِهِ زِيدَ فِي آلِ النَّبيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

بِهِ زِيدَ فِي آلِ النَّبيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

حسامٌ وبَحْرٌ بالنَّدى يَتَفَجَّرُ

حسامٌ وبَحْرٌ بالنَّدى يَتَفَجَّرُ

Through him, the family of the Prophet Muhammad gained

Through him the family of the Prophet Muhammad is honored

A keen sword and a sea gushing with generosity.

With a sword and an ocean overflowing with bounty.

فَأَدْرَكَتِ الآمالُ غاياتِ سُؤْلِها

فَأَدْرَكَتِ الآمالُ غاياتِ سُؤْلِها

وأُعْطِيَتِ الأَيَّامُ مَا تَتَخَيَّرُ

وأُعْطِيَتِ الأَيَّامُ مَا تَتَخَيَّرُ

So hopes attained the utmost of their desire,

Hopes have attained their ultimate goals,

And the days were granted whatever they chose.

And days are granted their heart's desires.

وقامَ سريرٌ للخلافَةِ ثابِتٌ

وقامَ سريرٌ للخلافَةِ ثابِتٌ

وسَرْجٌ ومِحْرابٌ وتاجٌ ومِنْبَرُ

وسَرْجٌ ومِحْرابٌ وتاجٌ ومِنْبَرُ

And a throne stood firm for the caliphate,

The throne of the Caliphate stands firm,

And a saddle, a prayer niche, a crown, and a pulpit.

With saddle, prayer niche, crown and pulpit.

وَمَا النَّاسُ إِلّا آمِلٌ ومُؤَمِّلٌ

وَمَا النَّاسُ إِلّا آمِلٌ ومُؤَمِّلٌ

وَمَا الدَّهْرُ إِلّا مُبْشِرٌ ومُبَشِّرُ

وَمَا الدَّهْرُ إِلّا مُبْشِرٌ ومُبَشِّرُ

And people are only those who hope and those who inspire hope;

People are filled with hope and promising hope,

And time only rejoices and brings glad tidings.

While time brings glad tidings and more glad tidings.

وأَيَّامُ مَحْيانا حدائِقُ تَزْدَهِي

وأَيَّامُ مَحْيانا حدائِقُ تَزْدَهِي

وأَوْجُهُ دنيانا كواكِبُ تُزْهِرُ

وأَوْجُهُ دنيانا كواكِبُ تُزْهِرُ

And the days of our life are gardens flourishing in beauty,

Our days of joy are gardens in full bloom,

And the faces of our world are stars that shine.

And the faces of our world are stars shining bright.

فَدُومُوا لهذا الدِّينِ حِصْناً ومَوْئِلاً

فَدُومُوا لهذا الدِّينِ حِصْناً ومَوْئِلاً

فأَنْتُمْ لَهُ عِزٌّ وذِكْرٌ ومَفْخَرُ

فأَنْتُمْ لَهُ عِزٌّ وذِكْرٌ ومَفْخَرُ

So remain a fortress and a refuge for this faith,

So fortify this religion, make of it a refuge and sanctuary -

For you are its glory, its renown, and its pride.

For you are its might, renown and pride.
