مَنْ لا يُبالي بالمدي

مَنْ لا يُبالي بالمدي

حِ ولا الهجاء فما يُلامُ

حِ ولا الهجاء فما يُلامُ

Whoever cares nothing for praise

Whoever cares not for praise or blame,

or satire is not to be blamed.

Cannot be faulted or brought to shame.

ذاكَ استراحَ بجَهْلهِ

ذاكَ استراحَ بجَهْلهِ

منْ حَيْثُ قد تَعبَ الكرامُ

منْ حَيْثُ قد تَعبَ الكرامُ

That one has found rest through his ignorance

At ease in their ignorance they rest,

where the noble have grown weary.

While the noble are by anguish oppressed.
