صاحبُنا الآسي لم يُعْطه ال

صاحبُنا الآسي لم يُعْطه ال

رحمانُ في صَنْعَته علماً

رحمانُ في صَنْعَته علماً

Our friend the physician was not granted by the All-

Our sorrowful friend was not granted by the Merciful

Merciful any knowledge of his craft.

Any skill in his craftsmanship

وكُلّما أعمى عُيونَ الورى

وكُلّما أعمى عُيونَ الورى

قال لنا إنَّ الحديدَ أعمى

قال لنا إنَّ الحديدَ أعمى

And whenever he blinded people's eyes,

And whenever he blinded the eyes of creation

He told us, 'Indeed, the iron is blind.'
