مثلlike الحريرِsilk لَياناًsoftness فيin مجسّتهhis feel to the touch
مثل الحريرِ لَياناً في مجسّته
وَعَرْفُand the fragrance إبطيهhis two armpits منfrom عَرفَfragrance الرَّياحينthe fragrant herbs
وَعَرْفُ إبطيه من عَرفَ الرَّياحين
Like silk in softness to the touch.
And his armpits' fragrance is that of sweet herbs.
عَذْبُsweet المراشفِthe lips حُلْوُsweet الدلِّcoquetry ذوpossessing شَنَبٍcoolness and whiteness of teeth
عَذْبُ المراشفِ حُلْوُ الدلِّ ذو شَنَبٍ
لَدْنُsupple المعاطفِthe body's contours فيin حُسْنٍbeauty وفيand in لينِsoftness
لَدْنُ المعاطفِ في حُسْنٍ وفي لينِ
Sweet-lipped, sweetly coy, with cool, white teeth.
Supple of frame, beautiful and soft.
