after riding the colt and the donkey foal:

After riding a mare and young stallion

ما طَبعي الذُّلُّ ولكنّني

ما طَبعي الذُّلُّ ولكنّني

أمشي مَعَ الدَّهر كما يمَشي

أمشي مَعَ الدَّهر كما يمَشي

“Abasement is not in my nature, but I

It is not in my nature to be lowly

walk with Time as it walks.”
