حاسبونا ما دقّقوا

حاسبونا ما دقّقوا

قيَّدونا ما أوثقوا

قيَّدونا ما أوثقوا

They called us to account, but did not scrutinize.

They judged us without investigating,

They fettered us, but did not bind us tightly.

They shackled us without securing,

نظروا في ذنوبنا

نظروا في ذنوبنا

ثم منُّوا فأطلقوا

ثم منُّوا فأطلقوا

They looked into our sins.

They looked into our sins,

Then they bestowed grace and so set us free.

Then wished well and let go.

إن ظني وخاطري

إن ظني وخاطري

في إلهي محقق

في إلهي محقق

Indeed, my belief and my thought

My thoughts and notions,

concerning my God are confirmed.

In my God, are fulfilled.

إن من مات محسناً

إن من مات محسناً

ليس بالنار يُحرقُ

ليس بالنار يُحرقُ

Indeed, whoever dies doing good

He who died well,

is not burned by the fire.

Is not burnt by the fire.
