The realized one's heart is a mirror; whoever looks

sees Him who brought spirits and forms into being,

if he removes the rust of created things, and

his attributes unite with the attributes of the Real—take heed.

Whoever beholds the Highest Assembly—his utmost attainment is

light; this is the heart's station, if he gives thanks.

And whoever beholds the attributes of the Real at work

in everything will, in that moment, be deep in thought.

And whoever beholds the station of the Essence is favored with it,

in the moment, impoverished through the stripping away of attributes.

So every heart that rises beyond its veils

is neither known in the Highest Assembly nor mentioned.

And how can a heart be perceived when it has become veiled

from existence, and so has neither prayed nor performed the lesser pilgrimage?

Only the Essence knows the Essence—so listen!

A heart of direct vision is unlike a heart that takes reports on trust.
