الأمرthe command للهto God والمأمورand the commanded thing فيin عدمnonexistence
الأمر لله والمأمور في عدم
فإنso if أضيفis ascribed لهto Him التكوينbringing into being يكذبهrefutes it
فإن أضيف له التكوين يكذبه
The command belongs to God, while the commanded thing is in nonexistence.
The command belongs to God, while nothingness
If bringing into being is ascribed to Him, that claim is refuted.
Obeyed. If I ascribe creation to Him, it contradicts Him.
بلrather كنBe! لربكto your Lord والتكوينand bringing into being ليسis not لهHis
بل كن لربك والتكوين ليس له
وإنماand only هوit للمأمورto the commanded thing يصحبُهaccompanies it
وإنما هو للمأمور يصحبُه
Rather, “Be!” belongs to your Lord; bringing into being is not His.
Rather, be for your Lord while creation is not His.
It belongs only to the commanded thing, accompanying it.
It is only for nothingness accompanying Him.

Glory be to Him as One self-sufficient, who has no need
Glory be to Him, the Self-Sufficient, needing nothing,
for the world of existence, though the Names require it.
For the world of creation and the names seeking Him.

He is the One named by them, and the essence is one.
He is the one called by them, the essence being one.
Yet you do not apprehend Him, for He is hard to attain.
You cannot attain Him, for His quest is mighty.
