Sol 6.1

  1. لاتتخذ غيرَ الإله وكيلاً

    ولتتخذ نحو الإله سبيلا

    Take none but God as your trustee.

    And take a path toward God.

  2. لا تنه عن أمرٍ وأنت تريده

    واعكِف عليه بُكرةً وأصيلا

    Do not forbid a thing while you yourself desire it,

    And devote yourself to it morning and evening.

  3. لاغروانك إنْ عملت بنصِّ ما

    أخبرتكم أرشدت أقوم قيلا

    No wonder that, if you act according to the very words of what

    I have told you, you are guided to the soundest speech.

  4. لا تبتغي عنه فإنك عينه

    ولذاك أودِع حكمه التنزيلا

    Seek nothing apart from Him, for you are His very self;

    And so His decree was placed in the Revelation.

  5. لاتعصِيَنْ أهل الحجابِ فإنهم

    قد أحكموا الإجمالَ والتفصيلا

    Never disobey the people of the veil, for they

    Have indeed mastered summary and detail.

  6. لاذوا بأحمى جابر وأعزه

    وبذاك نالوا الفضل والتفضيلا

    They sought refuge with the most protective and mightiest restorer,

    And thereby attained favor and preferment.

  7. لاثوا العمائم فوقَ أرؤسِهم وما

    ستروا بها قِرطاً ولا إكليلا

    They wound turbans over their heads, and did not

    Cover with them an earring or a crown.

  8. لاكوا بألسنةٍ حديثَ متيم

    يشكو الغليلَ ويكثر التعليلا

    They chewed with their tongues the words of a lovesick lover,

    Who laments his burning thirst and offers many explanations.

  9. لا بارك الرحمن فيهم إنهم

    قد بدَّلوا فرقانه تبديلا

    May the All-Merciful not bless them, for they

    Have altered His Criterion—altered it indeed.

  10. لا نصَّ أجلي من نصوص كتابه

    قد رتلتْه رُسله ترتيلا

    No text is clearer than the texts of His Book;

    His messengers have indeed recited it in measured cadence.
