يا آل عمران إنّ الله فضلكم

يا آل عمران إنّ الله فضلكم

بمريم بنت عمران التي كملتْ

بمريم بنت عمران التي كملتْ

O family of Imran, God has indeed favored you

O family of Imran, indeed Allah has favored you

through Maryam, daughter of Imran, who attained perfection,

With Maryam, daughter of Imran, who was perfected

بما رآه الذي لله كفلها

بما رآه الذي لله كفلها

من العناية فيما فيه قد كفلتْ

من العناية فيما فيه قد كفلتْ

through what the one who cared for her for God's sake saw

By what the Protector of Allah saw fit for her

of providential care in the guardianship under which she had been placed.

Of care, wherein she was perfected

أتى إليها وفي محرابها طبق

أتى إليها وفي محرابها طبق

فقال ماذا فقالت رتبة عجلت

فقال ماذا فقالت رتبة عجلت

He came to her, and in her prayer chamber was a platter.

He came to her while she was in her prayer niche

He said, 'What is this?' She said, 'A rank granted early.'

So he said “What is this?” She said “It is a quick provision”

خذها إليكم فإنَّ الله أطلعكم

خذها إليكم فإنَّ الله أطلعكم

لتسألوه فإن النفسَ ما بخلت

لتسألوه فإن النفسَ ما بخلت

Take it to yourselves, for God has made you aware,

“Take it to yourselves, for Allah has made you see

so that you may ask Him, for the soul has not been miserly.

That you may ask Him, for the soul was not stingy”

فكان يحيى حصوراً مثلها وبها

فكان يحيى حصوراً مثلها وبها

لهمة من أبيه عنده حَصلت

لهمة من أبيه عنده حَصلت

Thus Yahya was chaste like her, and through her,

So John was a devout worshipper like her, and through him

owing to an aspiration from his father that arose in him.

An ambition from his father was fulfilled

فاستفرغت طاقة الإنسان حالتها

فاستفرغت طاقة الإنسان حالتها

هذي مقالتها لو أنها سئلت

هذي مقالتها لو أنها سئلت

Her state thus exhausted all human capacity.

So the capacity of man exhausted its state

These would be her words, were she asked.

This would be its statement, if it was asked

لقد نظرت إليها وهي سافرةٌ

لقد نظرت إليها وهي سافرةٌ

فما به فصلت به لها وصلت

فما به فصلت به لها وصلت

I have indeed looked upon her while she was unveiled.

I looked at her while she was uncovered

Thus what set her apart was, for her, the means of union.

Yet through what disconnected her, she was connected

فانظر إليها وسلمها لخالقعا

فانظر إليها وسلمها لخالقعا

فإن نفسك تُجزي بالذي عملت

فإن نفسك تُجزي بالذي عملت

So look upon her and entrust her to her Creator,

So look to her Giver and deliver her

for your soul is recompensed for what it has done.

For your soul will be rewarded for what it did
