  1. إن المرادَ مع المريدِ مطالبٌ

    بدلائلِ التحقيقِ في دعواهما

    Indeed, the one sought, together with the seeker, is called upon

    To furnish proofs of realization in support of their claims.

  2. فإذا جهلت الأمر في حاليهما

    فدليل ما والاه في تقواهما

    So if you do not understand the matter concerning their two states,

    Then the proof of what he has embraced lies in the piety of them both.
