نظرت إلى الحق المستر بالخلق

فقلت بتنزيه الخلائق والحقِّ

فقلت بتنزيه الخلائق والحقِّ

I looked upon the Real, veiled by creation,

I looked upon the Truth veiled in creation,

and affirmed the transcendence of created beings and the Real.

So I said, glorifying the creations and the Truth,

فلم أر تشبيهاً بخلق محققا

فلم أر تشبيهاً بخلق محققا

لأن صفاتِ الخلقِ حقٌّ بلا خلق

لأن صفاتِ الخلقِ حقٌّ بلا خلق

So I saw no proven likeness to creation,

I did not see any likeness to creation verified,

for creation's attributes are the Real, without creation.

For the attributes of creation are true without creation.

فما الأمر إلا واحد لا موحد

فما الأمر إلا واحد لا موحد

عن النظر العقليِّ والقولُ بالوفق

عن النظر العقليِّ والقولُ بالوفق

So the matter is but one—not made one

So the matter is only One, not unifying,

by rational reflection—and speech is in accord.

Beyond intellectual observation and speech in harmony.

فلا تعدلوا عني فإني منبىء

فلا تعدلوا عني فإني منبىء

انبئكم بالحال وقتاً وبالنطق

انبئكم بالحال وقتاً وبالنطق

So do not turn away from me, for I bring tidings:

So do not turn away from me, for I am the warner,

I inform you at times through a spiritual state, and through speech.

Informing you of the state at times and with speech.

فما كان عن حالٍ فذوق ُمحققٍ

فما كان عن حالٍ فذوق ُمحققٍ

وما كان عن نطقٍ سيسفر عن خلق

وما كان عن نطقٍ سيسفر عن خلق

So what comes from a state is the tasting of one who has attained realization,

What was of a state, so taste, is verified,

and what comes from speech will unveil creation.

What was of speech, will uncover creation.

فقوموا إليه عندما تسمعونه

فقوموا إليه عندما تسمعونه

فذلك حظ النفسِ من مُطلق الرزق

فذلك حظ النفسِ من مُطلق الرزق

So rise toward it when you hear it;

So rise to it when you hear it,

for that is the soul's share of unrestricted sustenance.

For that is the soul’s share of the Absolute Sustenance.

ألم تر أن الحقَّ بالذاتِ رزقنا

ألم تر أن الحقَّ بالذاتِ رزقنا

ونحن له رزقٌ بفتقٍ على رَتقِ

ونحن له رزقٌ بفتقٍ على رَتقِ

Have you not seen that the Real, in His essence, is our sustenance,

Have you not seen that the Truth essentially sustained us,

and we are sustenance for Him, through a cleaving of what was joined?

And we are for it sustenance with disclosure upon composure.
