يا شاعِراً أَلغَزَ لي

مِن شِعرِهِ بَديعُهُ

مِن شِعرِهِ بَديعُهُ

O poet, a riddle was posed to me

O poet, recite for me

by the exquisite part of his verse.

Of your excellent poetry

سَمِيُّهُ في البَحرِ لا

سَمِيُّهُ في البَحرِ لا

كنّيَ لا أُذيعُهُ

كنّيَ لا أُذيعُهُ

His namesake is in the sea, but

Whose beauty in the sea is unnamed

I will not reveal it.

That I may not divulge or proclaim
