I see Yahya has assailed me with malice,
I see Yahya has treated me poorly
like a scorpion obsessed with a snake.
With the malice of a scorpion that stung at his throat
أَيَطمَعُdoes he hope? أَنَّنيthat I أَهجوهُI lampoon him كَلّاcertainly not

Does he hope that I will lampoon him? Never!
Does he hope that I will satirize him? Never!
It suffices me that he be called Ruqayya's brother.
It is enough that he's called the brother of Ruqayyah
