كَذبٌ كُلُّ ما اِدعيتُ وَزورٌ

كَذبٌ كُلُّ ما اِدعيتُ وَزورٌ

أَنا وَحدي زِيادَةٌ في الخِيامِ

أَنا وَحدي زِيادَةٌ في الخِيامِ

All I have claimed is a lie and falsehood.

All that I claimed was a lie and deceit

I alone am superfluous among the tents.

I alone am surplus to the tents

وَلُزومُ السِماطِ أَكبَرُ هَمّي

وَلُزومُ السِماطِ أَكبَرُ هَمّي

وَعِلاجُ الأَبوالِ أَقصى مَرامي

وَعِلاجُ الأَبوالِ أَقصى مَرامي

And keeping to the banquet table is my greatest concern.

Staying under the canopy is my greatest concern

And handling urine is my utmost aim.

And healing the drunks is my utmost goal

وَضُيوفي الأولى يَبيتونَ غَرثى

وَضُيوفي الأولى يَبيتونَ غَرثى

وَيَدايَ الطوالُ عِندَ الطَعامِ

وَيَدايَ الطوالُ عِندَ الطَعامِ

And my guests are those who spend the night hungry,

My first guests spend the night covered in filth

while my hands are long at mealtime.

And my long arms [stretch] toward food
