اللَهُ حسبُك والسَبعُ الحَوامِيمُ

اللَهُ حسبُك والسَبعُ الحَوامِيمُ

تحوي بها سبعةً هي الأَقاليمُ

تحوي بها سبعةً هي الأَقاليمُ

God suffices you, as do the seven Ha-Mim surahs.

God suffices you, and the seven mighty heavens,

God is your sufficiency, along with the seven Hawamim,

Through them you encompass the seven regions.

Containing the seven regions as dominions.

Through which you encompass the seven regions of the earth.

سبع المثاني التي لِلّه قُمتَ بها

سبع المثاني التي لِلّه قُمتَ بها

عليك من سرِّها معنى وتقديمُ

عليك من سرِّها معنى وتقديمُ

The seven oft-repeated verses, with which you stood for God:

The seven oft-repeated verses which you stood with

The Seven Oft-Repeated Verses, with which you stood in devotion to God,

From their mystery come significance and precedence for you.

Their meaning and recitation are for Allah.

Confer upon you, from their secret, essence and precedence.

وأَنت بالسُوّر السبع الطِوال على

وأَنت بالسُوّر السبع الطِوال على

كلِّ الورى حاكمٍ باللَه محكومِ

كلِّ الورى حاكمٍ باللَه محكومِ

And through the seven long surahs, you stand above

And you with the seven long chapters rule

And you, through the Seven Long Chapters, stand over

all humankind—a ruler, yourself ruled by God.

All creation by the judgment of Allah.

All of mankind as a ruler, though by God you are ruled.

وسبعة الشُهبِ لم تَحفل بها ثقةً

وسبعة الشُهبِ لم تَحفل بها ثقةً

بوعد ربك هيهات التَنَاجِيم

بوعد ربك هيهات التَنَاجِيم

And you paid no heed to the seven bright stars, trusting

And the seven falling stars you did not care for,

You paid no heed to the seven wandering stars, placing your trust

in your Lord's promise—away with astrological predictions!

Trusting your Lord’s promise - never astrology!

In the promise of your Lord; far indeed is the folly of astrology.

تسمُو بنفس على السبع الشِداد سَمَت

تسمُو بنفس على السبع الشِداد سَمَت

فينا وثَمَّ لها زُلفى وتكريمُ

فينا وثَمَّ لها زُلفى وتكريمُ

You soar above the seven mighty heavens with a soul exalted

Your spirit rises above the seven firmaments,

You ascend with a soul that soars above the Seven Strong Heavens,

among us; and there it has nearness and honor.

Soaring in us - given familiarity and honor.

Which, among us and There, holds nearness and honor.
