Sol 6.1

  1. حَلفَةٌ ما حلفت لا تَعبُرُ

    اللِّئام مَبرورَةً مِنَ الأَيمانِ

    Whatever oath you have sworn does not pass

    Among the base as one of the faithfully kept oaths.

  2. رُبَّ حَنثٍ فيهِ النَّجاةُ وبر

    قَد أَحَلَّ الفَتى بِدارِ هَوانِ

    Many a broken oath holds deliverance, while keeping one

    Has lodged a young man in an abode of humiliation.
