Tell ʿĪsā, the nose of his own nose:

His nose is twice his own double.

Never, since he came to be, has he slept

without pressing his nose against his ceiling.

So you see the ceiling already

ruined by the edge of his nose.

Indeed, whoever opposes you, O ʿĪsā,

is surely yoked to his death.

If you were to inhale a bull,

with both its horns and its cloven hoof,

it would plunge into a nostril

that engulfs all creation in half its space.

If you saw him mounted, with

pride already bending his body aside,

you would see the nose in the saddle,

and ʿĪsā riding pillion behind his nose.
