بعثتَ قطائفاً روَّى

بعثتَ قطائفاً روَّى

حشاها قطرُها الغامرْ

You sent qatayef, drenched

You sent bouquets, their fragrance perfumed

inside by their abundant syrup;

By the pouring of heavy rain

فسكرُها أبو ذرٍّ

فسكرُها أبو ذرٍّ

ومرسلُ صحنِها جابرْ

ومرسلُ صحنِها جابرْ

so their sugar is Abu Dharr,

Intoxicated by it is Abou Dhar

and the sender of their platter is Jabir.

And the one who sent its platter is Jabir
