Whenever you turn to a previously married woman

Whenever you turn back to one who repents,

instead of a virgin, the listener will make you regret it.

The listener regrets blaming you.

لَوَ أنَّ العوانَ بدتْ كوكباً

لَوَ أنَّ العوانَ بدتْ كوكباً

لقيلَ هيَ الكوكبُ الراجعُ

لقيلَ هيَ الكوكبُ الراجعُ

If the previously married woman appeared as a star,

If helpers appeared as stars,

it would be said, “She is the retrograde star.”

It would be said: they are the returning stars.
