قدْ مُطرنا برحمةِ اللهِ ربي

قدْ مُطرنا برحمةِ اللهِ ربي

وهجرْنا النجومَ والأنواءَ

وهجرْنا النجومَ والأنواءَ

We have indeed received rain through the mercy of God, my Lord,

We have been rained upon with the mercy of Allah, my Lord

And we have forsaken the stars and their risings and settings.

And we have abandoned the stars and the weather

كم بكيتمْ إذْ أصبحَ الماءُ غوراً

كم بكيتمْ إذْ أصبحَ الماءُ غوراً

فاضحكوا حيثُ أصبحَ الغورُ ماءَ

فاضحكوا حيثُ أصبحَ الغورُ ماءَ

How much you wept when the water sank away!

How much did you cry when the water became an abyss

So laugh, now that the depths have become water!

So laugh now that the abyss has become water
