كأسينِ أمْ خدَّيْنِ أم أحداقِ

What wine has made you drunk—is it from

Through the wine which you drank I see

Two cups, or two cheeks, or eyes?

ما شمَّرَتْ ساقاً لتسقيكَ الطلا

ما شمَّرَتْ ساقاً لتسقيكَ الطلا

إلا لتدهشَ منْ جمالِ الساقِ

إلا لتدهشَ منْ جمالِ الساقِ

She bared a leg to give you wine

She would not bare her leg to pour your wine

Only so you would be dazzled by the beauty of the leg.

Unless to make you marvel at its shape so fine
