فأجبْتُ أينَ الجيِّدْ

They said, “So-and-so is good.”

So I replied, “Where is the good?

So I replied, where is this good?

إما غنيٌّ باخلٌ

إما غنيٌّ باخلٌ

أو معسرٌ يتصيَّدُ

أو معسرٌ يتصيَّدُ

Either wealthy and miserly,

Either a wealthy wasteful one

or needy and angling for gain.”

Or a poor one who preys
