جدارُ بيتي وفتاتي بهِ

ذا ساقطٌ ضَعْفاً وذي ساقطهْ

ذا ساقطٌ ضَعْفاً وذي ساقطهْ

The wall of my house, and my girl within it—

The one is collapsing from weakness, and the other is fallen.

فالبيتُ محتاجٌ إلى حائطٍ

فالبيتُ محتاجٌ إلى حائطٍ

والمالُ محتاجٌ إلى حائطهْ

والمالُ محتاجٌ إلى حائطهْ

So the house needs a wall,

And the wealth needs a woman to guard it.
