التركُ ملحُ الأرضِ في عصرِنا

التركُ ملحُ الأرضِ في عصرِنا

والفلَكُ الدائرُ في سعدِهمْ

والفلَكُ الدائرُ في سعدِهمْ

The Turks are the salt of the earth in our age,

And the revolving celestial sphere is in their favor.

تعرفُ مَنْ يعرفُ مقدارَهم

تعرفُ مَنْ يعرفُ مقدارَهم

مَنْ ذاقَ جَوْرَ المغلِ مِنْ بعدِهِمْ

مَنْ ذاقَ جَوْرَ المغلِ مِنْ بعدِهِمْ

You know who knows their worth:

Whoever has tasted the Mongols’ tyranny after them.

اللهُ لا يوحشُ منْ أُنسهم

اللهُ لا يوحشُ منْ أُنسهم

فجورُهُمْ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ فقدِهِمْ

فجورُهُمْ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ فقدِهِمْ

May God not deprive us of their company,

For their tyranny is easier to bear than losing them.
