يعجبني وفاةُ مَنْ

فيهِ فسادٌ وأذى

فيهِ فسادٌ وأذى

The death of one pleases me

I rejoice the death of those

in whom are corruption and harm.

Whose lives breed only harm and woes

لا حبذا حياتُهُ

لا حبذا حياتُهُ

وإنْ يمتْ فحبَّذا

وإنْ يمتْ فحبَّذا

Unwelcome is his life;

Better that they should die

and if he dies, then how welcome!

Than live and spread their lies
