إنْ كنتُ أرضى ما أنا فيهِ

فدعْ أقاسي ما أقاسيهِ

If I am content with the state I am in,

If I am content with the state I am in,

then leave me to endure what I endure.

then let me suffer what I suffer.

وإنْ يكنْ قلبي مريضاً بهِ

وإنْ يكنْ قلبي مريضاً بهِ

فاسألُ اللهَ يعافيهِ

فاسألُ اللهَ يعافيهِ

And if my heart is sick because of it,

And if my heart is ill because of it,

then I ask God to restore it to health.

then I ask God to heal it.
