ابنُ الرياحيِّ على جهلهِ

ابنُ الرياحيِّ على جهلهِ

وجورِهِ في حلبٍ يحكمُ

وجورِهِ في حلبٍ يحكمُ

Ibn al-Riyahi, despite his ignorance

The son of al-Riyaahi, despite his ignorance

and his injustice, passes judgment in Aleppo.

And his tyranny ruling in Aleppo

إن لم يكنْ في حلبٍ مسلمٌ

إن لم يكنْ في حلبٍ مسلمٌ

فمصرُ ما كان بها مسلمُ

فمصرُ ما كان بها مسلمُ

If there is no Muslim in Aleppo,

If there is no Muslim left in Aleppo

then there was no Muslim in Egypt.

Then Egypt would have no Muslim either
