سلَّمْتُ أنَّكَ ترتشي

سلَّمْتُ أنَّكَ ترتشي

قدِّمْ بعلمٍ أو نسبْ

قدِّمْ بعلمٍ أو نسبْ

I grant that you take bribes;

I presented that you take bribes

Give precedence on grounds of learning or lineage.

Offer knowledge or lineage

فكأنَّني بالفضَّةِ ان

فكأنَّني بالفضَّةِ ان

فَضَّتْ وقد ذهبَ الذهبْ

فَضَّتْ وقد ذهبَ الذهبْ

So it is as though I see the silver

It's as if I am silver that

dispersed, while the gold has already gone.

Melted, while the gold has gone
