بائعةٌ كارتُها خلفَها

بائعةٌ كارتُها خلفَها

كبيرةٌ خافضةٌ رافعَهْ

كبيرةٌ خافضةٌ رافعَهْ

A woman vendor, her bundle behind her,

A seller whose basket behind her

Large, lowering and raising.

Bent over raising high

قلتُ لها إني امرؤٌ مشترٍ

قلتُ لها إني امرؤٌ مشترٍ

للوصلِ قالتْ وأنا بائعَهْ

للوصلِ قالتْ وأنا بائعَهْ

I said to her, “I am a man, a buyer

I said I'm a man who buys

Of union.” She said, “And I am a seller.”

For union, she said, and I'm its seller
