رحَلْتَ فكُنْتَ في التّحقيقِ بَدْرا
مَنازِلُكَyour stations المَنازِلُthe lunar mansions والبِلادُand the lands
مَنازِلُكَ المَنازِلُ والبِلادُ
You journeyed away—and in truth you were a full moon;

ومنْand among أفْلاكِcelestial spheres رِحْلَتِكَyour journey المَعاليthe heights of glory
ومنْ أفْلاكِ رِحْلَتِكَ المَعالي
ومنْand among آثارِeffects نيّرِكَyour luminary الجِهادُjihad; striving in God's cause
ومنْ آثارِ نيّرِكَ الجِهادُ
Among the spheres of your journey were the heights of glory,
And among the spheres of your journey are the heights of glory.
and among the traces of your radiance was jihad.
And among the effects of your luminary is jihad.
