Raise the ships’ bows with his good fortune,

And seek the mighty victory in fulfillment of his promise.

And look at him: in his face there shines for you

The mark of courage from his father and grandfather.

By God, what a keen-edged sword for your victory!

The water of beauty flows over its damask pattern.

My glad tidings and hopeful augury went forth to you

Concerning the matter, before his emergence from his sheath.

The fleet rejoices in him as a commander,

Like the full moon beneath his sail or his banner.

And the sea takes pride in him on the day of birth,

In its admiral, son of its admiral, son of its admiral.
