O Ridwan, let no tyrant’s treacherous killing dismay you.

For whoever brings you to water will be followed by one who leads you away.

And God has a secret hidden among His servants,

whose concealed nature the ordained decree proclaims.

Your namesake gladly welcomes you, offering peace

upon you; and God’s good pleasure is greater.

So urge on the mounts: bliss is not marred,

nor is life in the abode of eternity clouded.
