أبِما جَنى جارٌ يعَذَّبُ جارُ
My eye has sinned—so why are my ribs burned?
My eyes turned into gardens, so why does my chest burn?
Is one neighbor tormented for another neighbor’s wrongdoing?
Why should a neighbour be tormented for the sins of another?

O heart, do not let the fires of passion dismay you.
O my heart, do not be startled by the fires of passion,
For that fire is like Abraham’s fire.
For this is the fire of Abraham.

So endure what they were made to bear, and you will attain your wishes.
So be patient with what has been decreed and you will attain your wishes,
Through casting, the dinar acquired its imprint.
Just as consistent minting gives the dinar its engraved form.
