قُرْبَانُa sacrificial offering هِنْدٍIndia أَتَىcame يَسْعَىhastening عَلَىon قَدَمِهْhis foot
It is as though his opponent, upon his keen blade's flat,
As though its horn were in the flat of his forehead,
Were an Indian sacrificial offering, come hastening on his own feet.
An Indian sacrifice has come, walking on his feet.
تَبْدُوappears بِهِupon it فِيat مَبَادِئthe beginnings of الأَمْرِthe matter صُورَتُهُhis image
وَتَغْلِبُand prevails النَّارُthe fire إِذْwhen يَكْسُوhe clothes شُعَاعَthe radiance of دَمِهْhis blood
His image appears upon it at the outset,
In the beginning of the affair His image appears through it,
And fire prevails when he clothes it in his blood's radiance.
And the fire prevails when it covers the brilliance of his blood.
مَازَالَhas continued to be قُرْبَانُthe sacrificial offering to نَارِthe fire of الْهِنْدِIndia مُعْتَقَداًbelieving
فِيthroughout الدَّهْرِtime أَنَّthat الْوُجُودَexistence الْحَقَّtrue فِيin عَدَمِهْhis nonexistence
The offering to India's fire has always believed,
The sacrifice to the fire of India has remained, throughout time,
Throughout time, that true existence lies in his nonexistence.
Believing that real existence lies in its annihilation.
