أنا كافِرٌ وسِوايَ فيهِ بِعاذِلٍ

أنا كافِرٌ وسِوايَ فيهِ بِعاذِلٍ

لا يَسْتَبينُ الصِّدْقُ في آياتِهِ

لا يَسْتَبينُ الصِّدْقُ في آياتِهِ

I am an unbeliever, while another reproaches me for it;

truth cannot be discerned in his signs.

ومُصَدِّقٌ بصَحيفةِ الخَدِّ الذي

ومُصَدِّقٌ بصَحيفةِ الخَدِّ الذي

قدْ أعْجَبَ الكُفّارَ حُسْنُ نَباتِهِ

قدْ أعْجَبَ الكُفّارَ حُسْنُ نَباتِهِ

Yet I believe in the page of the cheek, whose

beautiful growth has delighted the unbelievers.
